IN DEPTH ANALYSIS:
This newly upgraded bike features new and wider tires, split seat, clip- on handlebars, 3D Pulsar logo and tank scoops. This is a well built bike having muscular and sturdy body design which gives this bike an elegant appearance. Aerodynamics is taken care of in this model of Pulsar 180 and is much more refined. POWER AND PERFORMANCE:
Taking a look at the engine section of Pulsar 180, it is powered by a 180 cc four stroke, air- cooled, DTS-I engine which can produce a peak power output of 16.8 bhp @ 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.2 bhp @ 6500 rpm. The engine is mated with a five speed manual transmission which gives an excellent performance. The DTS- i (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) technology help in making the best use of engine’s load- bearing capacity. The engine is also loaded with ExhausTEC (Exhaust Torque Expansion Chamber) technology which helps in enhancing the performance of bike by modifying the swirl characteristics and back pressure. The bike can reach from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.8 seconds and can deliver a top speed of 136 kmph, as claimed by the company. The fuel efficiency of bike is good as it can give a mileage of approximately 58 kmpl when driven at a constant speed of 55 kmph.

The suspension section of Pulsar 180 consists of a 37 mm fork at the front and a swing arm, a nitrogen assisted gas powered shock absorber mated with triple rated springs at the back side which will give you smooth riding experience in harsh and poor road conditions. IT has 260 mm disc brake at front and 130 mm drum break at the rear. The bike competes with TVS Apache RTR 180 and the Yamaha R15. It is priced at Rs. 78592.
