Sunday marks the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500, which is commonly referred to as “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” Thirty-three drivers will race around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 2.5-mile track for a chance to win the Borg-Warner Trophy. Scott Dixon, the Indy 500 pole-sitter who was recently robbed at a Taco Bell less than a mile from the race track, is the odds-on favorite. Vegas also considers Helio Castroneves, Juan Pablo Montoya, Marco Andretti, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Tony Kanaan to be among the leading contenders to win.

He said he had hoped Howard’s car was going to stay outside, so he made up his mind to drive inside and couldn’t avoid the collision.

It wasn’t totally clear but Howard may have tried to throw some share of the blame at Ryan Hunter-Reay during his interview with ESPN.
