Introduction
Pratima is an Indian television actress.

Personal Life
She has been a part of many Hindi films and Hindi TV drama series. Althought she has portrayed some strong positive character roles in her career, she is mostly known for her portrayal of negative and grey characters. She was first nominated for Best Performance in a Negative Role for her performance in Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II by Star Screen Awards. She has now worked in many Hindi films and dramas. However, she kicked off her career way back in 1997 when she acted in the English movie Sixth Happiness. This movie was directed by the Indian director Waris Hussein. In this movie, she plays the strong character of a brothel madam.

Pratima’s career on the small screen includes her role as Kalika’s aunt in Saat Phere. She has also acted as Sumitra Devi for a long duration of nearly seven years in Uttaran. Another role that was much appreciated was her performance in Jabb Love Hua where she was Raghu’s grandmother. Some of her latest films include Badlapur that released in 2015 and Bhopal Mail that released way back in 2010.

She also played a part in the hard hitting film Under Trial. With respect to television shows, she has acted in Siya ke Ram as Kaikesi and Ishq ka Rang Safed as Indrani. She also played the much critically acclaimed Guruma in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya. After her debut English movie, she came in with back to back movies in 1998 with Dushman and Such a Long Journey. These movies were followed by Godmother and Shool in 1999.
