The vintage Royal Enfield Classic 350 Twinspark becomes an extension of your personality. The good old ‘Bullet’ that never lets you down holds the record for the longest production run in India since 1955. And this comes as no surprise, for who can forget this legendary bike with a thumping macho engine that puts its rivals to shame.
The USP of this bike has remained its well-known vintage look that still makes the Adrenalin rush. Bullet always had a strong road presence and its heavy solid structure and simple design sets it apart from the rest. Its most striking features remain its typical circular headlight with twin pilot lamps, black-coloured circular rear view mirrors on handlebar, full size orange-coloured side indicators, solid semi-chromed front forks complementing its steel rims, full size fuel tank, a long chrome-finish silencer, brake pedal and engine, and a wide seat with integrated steel grab rail at the rear.
The total chrome instrument console is completely analogue and adds to the premium look of this bike. Although it lacks a tachometer, it has a speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge in a chrome-framed circular dial.
The air-cooled 4-stroke, 346cc UCE engine is designed to enhance performance with a power output of 19.8 BHP at 5250 rpm. It musters up a torque output of 28 nm which is available at 4000 rpm. It also has the hallmark 5-speed manual gearbox with one gear down and four gears up-shift pattern. With this powerful engine the bike is highly manoeuvrable, despite the fact that gear transitions are not silky smooth, but require some effort while making transitions. The bike does 0 to 100 kmph in less than 16 seconds and performs vibration-free at the top speed of 120 kmph.
The bike is not only a smooth ride in city, but is ideal for hill climbing, thanks to its powerful engine and wheelbase of 1370 mm which helps in maintaining stability around road curves. A ground clearance of 140 mm improves its handling at high speeds. Its powerful suspension system easily absorbs shocks over potholes, giving a comfortable ride in city conditions.
Expect a fuel economy of around 37 kmpl with this bike in city conditions. It is more for the long runs.
The Comfort and Safety:
The bike provides optimum comfort to the rider, due to its wide seat, thoughtful positioning of handlebar, firm palm grip and well placed foot pegs that help the legs relax on long journeys. Excellent stability is provided by this bike’s suspension system that comprises telescopic front forks and rear gas filled shock absorbers. Both wheels have drum brakes – 178 mm front drum brake and 153 mm rear drum brake.
Available only in Black.
The kick start bike is priced at Rs. 1,12,642.
Although this bike lacks electric start, digital instrument console and disc brake, it still holds its ground with its powerful and refined engine. But, is this enough to invest in this bike. Ask this question before you do. If you are a diehard fan of Royal Enfield bikes, then this one is good to begin your biking career with this company of international repute. Rest if you are still searching for a competitor bike which can challenge the monopoly of this one, then you will always find null result. It has simply the best in class of everything. It is a bit costly but the performance is worth to it. You cannot ignore this one. It is an all time hit.
